Monday, almost noon and I'm home. Guess why... VACATION!!! YAY!!!

Finally I got some days to rest and to put some things in order. Some co-workers called me up this morning asking for help already (and they woke me up in the process), but it's okay, at least I don't need to go there so soon, hehe.

I was kinda expecting to hear sooner or later about Farrah's death. After all, she was very sick and cancer is usually merciless. She was part of my childhood when I used to watch Charlie's Angels on TV. Jaclyn Smith was my favorite then, but Farrah had such a strong presence in the show.

And then I heard about Michael Jackson. That was so suddenly, so unexpected. Despite of his controversial life, he was a music icon, he changed the pop music. May he now finally have some piece.

My prayers are with both families.

Oh well, I just found out that S1 system style is no longer supported by LJ. I mean, they are working perfectly fine in old accounts, but if you have a S2 style and wants to switch to S1 style or if you want to create a new account on LJ, you can't choose S1 style anymore. So, a bunch of my old layouts are useless.

I have been making S2 versions of some of the old layouts, but it takes time and I'm kinda busy lately. But I will make more S2 versions and I will give priority to those layouts people have been requesting.

Or you can just take the images of a S1 layout of mine and use them in a S2 code, I will give the permission ;-).

Supernatural finale

My hubby and I watched the last three SPN episodes of the season yesterday night. In a row. Wow.

Ohhhh, Sam, you were wrong in the end, after all. You were used, right and proper, by Lilith, Ruby, those f* angels... If you weren't so stubborn ~~and listen to Dean~~, maybe things wouldn't end like that, tsc, tsc. Now you know you can't trust in any demon *forks Ruby*.

I have to say I've been suspicious of Ruby lately, so it wasn't a big chock seeing her betraying Sam. I hope not to see her again...

What the hell is going on with those angels? At least Castiel helped Dean in the end (awwwwwww). I'm not sure if he will be back, but I would like to see him again.

And the episode had to end with a cliffhanger *sighs*. I need to see what happens!!! *cries*

Now we have to watch Lost season finale. Probably tonight or tomorrow night ^^.

I know I'm late, but I hope everyone had a great Easter.

Finally I made an upgrade on my computer!!! It's super fast now and the graphics are so pretty with the new video card \o/.

I went to Morretes last Saturday with hubby, sister, niece and my parents. Lots of nature, great views and some delicious food (called barreado, a typical dish from my state) in a historical small city. This time we traveled there by car, but I did this trip once by train. Very relaxing.

I feel pain in my right hand lately, especially in my fingers. To the point I have to use my left hand to handle the mouse. Hubby thinks I probably have tendinites by repetitive motions while using computers. Here we usually call it DORT or LER. Well, I'm taking some anti-inflammatory medications and trying not to misuse my right hand, but it's not easy. I take a lot of time just to type a few words *sighs*.

I have to catch up with my TV shows and I have to watch ~~Piccolo~~ Dragonball. Is it the movie good? Is James good in it?

DID ANDY HALLET DIE? WHAT THE...

I just read the sad news on my flist and I'm speechless. He was a great guy with a lovely heart. And ironically, his heart was the cause of his death *sighs*. He was so young, only 33.

Andy will be terribly missed. I just... I'm really shocked.

Rest in peace, Andy.

New Monitor

I HAVE A NEW MONITOR!!! YAY!!!

It's so beautiful and the image is perfect in it!!! It's a Samsung T190 and I'm in love with it *g*. It was about time to retire my old CRT *pets it*.

Hubby installed it in his computer at first because we need to make an upgrade on mine so it will be able to enjoy the full potential of the new monitor. You know, change motherboard, CPU, memories and video card. I guess it's going to be kinda expensive.

Well, this week isn't entirely perfect because I got hubby's flu. Feeling like crap today *sighs*. At least I'll be seeing things prettier in my new shining monitor *g*.

Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday hubby and I celebrated our FIRST WEDDING ANIVERSARY!!! Oh my, it feels like it was just yesterday I walked into the church to marry him.

He gave me a wonderful bouquet of red roses and we went to a restaurant to have lunch. The day just didn't go better because he wasn't very well. He got a flu and had to take some medicines to feel at least a little fine.

He promised me he will feel better next wedding anniversary *g*.

Oh, and because I wasn't online yesterday I have to say this now:

• Here I am, working while my hubby is at home enjoying his extended holiday (it's Carnival around here). He will be back at work only on Thursday. At least I will have a day off tomorrow \o/. We're planning on making some barbecue to the lunch ^^.

• Oh, finally we caught up with Lost yesterday (we were 3 episodes behind). They managed to explain some things, but they also put a lot of more doubts in my head, like usually they do, hehe. I still have to catch up with SPN, Heroes and Bones.

• About comics, I read the AtS 17 issue. Oh, loved all the spangel bits... a lot *g*. Also read the BtVS 22 one. The writers made me sympathize with Kennedy. I didn't find her so annoying in the comics.

• Still can't make graphics because my computer has no monitor at the moment. Actually the monitor is on my hubby's computer. His monitor has been weird lately (changing colors to shades of pink and blinking).

• Regarding the Oscar... Yay for Kate Winslet!!! I so wanted her to win!!! And loved that Heath Ledger won as well. That was really heartbreaking.

Kinda lazy lately, even to write here *is ashamed*. I will use some bullets *g*.

• Last week I made a small surgery, a cauterization in fact, to get rid of some wars (fingers and face). I'm recovering well. Last year it was worse (had big holes in my fingers for weeks). This time no holes at all.

• Going back to English classes next month. Me, hubby, sister and niece. It's gonna be amazing :)))))).

• All my personal web sites vanished from T35 (Pedra Sobre Pedra, Renata Sorrah, Roxette, my portal), even the one with all my layouts (well, kinda saw that coming). Don't know yet if I'm going to host them again (such a hard work). So, to find all my layouts, just search through my memories or take a look at the comm layouts_for_fun.

• Reccing a great fic I just started reading. Go check On The Right Path by sawsha12. It's really good ;-).

• Yesterday I watched Supernatural (episode Criss Angel Is A Douchebag) with hubby and tonight we will watch Lost and Bones. Kinda late, but we're trying to catch up ;-).

• I also have to catch up with AtS comics. Didn't read the last issue yet.

• Read that the brilliant director Kim Manners passed away. He worked in Supernatural and X-Files. May he rest in peace. His work will never be forgotten.

• Just noticed something really weird. I was going to use one of my userpics in this post and I saw that it was replaced by another one that it's not mine!!! Never saw THIS USERPIC before and it's in my userpics list!!! Is LJ messing around with us?

First post of the year

Well, let's go start a new year all over again.

Came back from 2 weeks of vacation yesterday, but I went to work just in the afternoon (got a hell of a headache in the morning). It's going to be hard to get used to wake up at 6 a.m. again *sighs*. And what's up with the crazy weather? It's Summer here, we shouldn't have 10ºC at the morning.

I have been online very little these last days, so I have a lot to catch up and tons of e-mails to read. My flist hit 995 posts and I couldn't read before that. The last entry I could read was posted on Jan, 2nd. So if there's something important I should read, please let me know okay?

Hopefully we will have a great year ;-).

Christmas shopping

This has been a very exhausting Christmas. I went to two malls to do Christmas shopping this weekend and it was totally madness. Busy people and lines all over the places. I love buying Christmas presents, but I'm not fond on the craziness of this time of year. And I'm still have presents to buy. Guess I'm gonna have some more madness tonight *sighs*.

All I want know is some quiet time in peace, even if I'm at work now and it's not quite possible. Oh, well...
